- Caterpillar will lead in the design and development of solutions that deliver on the Equipment & Fleet Management value propositions. Dealers should drive customer adoption and usage of these applications to create customer loyalty, optimize telematics ROI, create and capture aftermarket revenue, and leverage industry differentiation through the upselling of advanced feature sets.
- Caterpillar will converge solutions where possible.
- Caterpillar will seek to make available for dealers, data and analytics on their customers’ use of Caterpillar developed applications, depending on regulatory compliance and demand-intake prioritization criteria.
- Caterpillar will build an Equipment / Fleet Management Application, with the expectation that dealers will market to their general customer population.
- Caterpillar will continue to develop solutions that address a customer’s entire fleet – not just solutions for Caterpillar assets.
- Caterpillar will commercialize Equipment / Fleet Management APIs that correspond to the Caterpillar Application to allow dealers to innovate for unique customer needs in their region.
- Caterpillar will measure customer adoption achieved by dealers against dealer-specific targets set by Caterpillar and will measure via the Digital Excellence Program.
